Hi, It's me, Petar. I think that there was a misunderstanding between the kids. The Chinese thought the Italians were being mean by destroying their kites, and the Italians tought the Chinese were being mean by chasing their pigeons. But, they did not talk to each other. They should have talked to each other earlier. If they had, the kites would not have been destroyed, and the pigeons would not have been scared away. They did talk to each other, but it was too late. Talking is important, especially in situations like that. I do not understand why the Italians destroyed the kites. All they had to do was get them down. I am glad that they got together in the end.

You're absolutely right. Talking is the most direct way to realize others' idea.
I think that Tony wanted to protect his pigeon from being terrified by the colosal kite.So,he destroyed it.
