Three Locks

Q:When they get free, where do they go?
A: I think they would go back home, but the book doesn't say.
Q:What were the adults afraid of?
A: They were afraid that they would no longer be in control if they let the kids have their freedom.
Q:Why was there a box and three locks?
A: I think it was so the words would rhyme, or to make sure the kids would not escape, for they only get to see their parents once a week, they see very little nature, they are almost completely isolated, etc.
Q: What about the nature things?
A: they get to see very little nature. I could not imagine living like that. I do not know why the parents gave the kids fake nature things instead of real nature things, but maybe they do not understand.
