Dear to the people in TaiWan,
Ian just moved to Canada and he doesn't know anyone, but he gets to know Mr. Mah. Mr. Mah gave him some seeds so that he can plant in his yard. Until Ian got to go to meet Mr. Mah and Mr. Mah told him about his wife, and Ian didn't know that so he told him about his parents slpit up. And Mr. Mah started to hang out with Ian more and told him about his culture in China. Both Mr. Mah and Ian had a special box but they didn't know until Mr. Mah showed Ian and Ian showed Mr. Mah. Mr. Mah took Ian to the graveyard where he buried his wife. Mr. Mah said Ian's name in China and Mr. Mah changed it to Yan.

I love those bright sunflowers. I wish I had aa yard full of sunflowers too! Do you have a yard? What do you plant in it??
How do you think that Mr.Mah called Ian "Yan"? Yan is a kind of birds like the picture on the book. It is free to go anywhere.It can go anywhere it wants.Ian moved to a city.It is far from his father's farm.Just like "Yan",he flew to a far place.I think that's why Mr.Mah called him like that.
